See the gorgeousness in person when Matt Dallas, Jaimie Alexander, and “Kyle XY” co-executive producer Julie Plec appear at Comic-Con International on Saturday, July 26. The San Diego event — aka Mecca for sci-fi fans — is THE place to be if you’re a serious “Kyle XY” fan. Or if you just want to be in the presence of extreme hotness for an afternoon. (One year at Comic-Con, Matt proved that he does have a belly button in real life.)

We’re not saying there’ll be any belly-baring this year, but Matt, Jaimie, and Julie will be answering questions and signing autographs. Be sure to get there early, and check the Comic-Con website to confirm times and locations. Here’s the info (subject to change):

The season 2 of Kyle XY recently ended in the US and is now poised to take UK by storm. The award-winning drama tells the story of a unique teenage boy (Kyle) with a mysterious past and the family that takes him in. The show which will be aired on terrestrial television for the first time in Britain in May and is being aimed at teens as part of the Beeb’s youth programming, BBC Switch.

‘Kyle’ star Matt Dallas teases there’s plenty of new mystery ahead, and even though he can’t spill too many beans, he hints that much of it will revolve around newbie character Jessi XX, the girl who’s also running around sans belly button, and for the exact same reason as Kyle.

Phoenix native Dallas, 24, also talked to AOL TV’s Kimberly Potts about his memorable role on ‘Entourage,’ his favorite TV shows (including one of the aforementioned series that happens to star one of his friends) and exactly what was in that pink goo he was covered in when Kyle XY first popped into our TV universe.

Are you still filming episodes for this season?
We are still shooting right now. We’re doing a total of 23 episodes, and they’re airing in two separate chunks. Right now we’re shooting our cliffhanger for the first set of 13 episodes.

Dramas like ‘Lost’ and ‘Heroes’ set up all these questions and then make us wait forever for answers. It must have been satisfying to give the audience such a payoff in the season premiere of ‘Kyle XY.’
Oh yes. I know what it’s like to wait for those cliffhangers, because I watch those shows, too, they’re both great shows. But it is kind of cool that our show set up all these questions, answered a bunch of them, and have set up new ones already. It’s cool for us, as actors, too, because then we don’t have to wait that long to find out what’s happening with our characters.

Did you know far in advance the story behind why Kyle doesn’t have a belly button and all the bigger mysteries of how he came to be?
Not really. I didn’t find out until I read it in the script.

Were you coming up with your own theories all along?
I did. And, you know, I had some inside information, so I was pretty close to what it really was.

Alright, so with all this new stuff thrown at us, where are we going this season with Kyle and Jessi, the female version of Kyle?
There are a lot of new things, and a lot of new characters. Jessi, the female counterpart of Kyle, is actually like the dark side of Kyle. It’s so hard for me to tell you anything without giving stuff away, but, in general, the storylines are heightened, and it’s just a little bit darker than last season. Last year, we kind of had two different shows in one; we had the mystery and the sci-fi element, and then had the family element. And we still have those this year, but they kind of mesh those together so that it all flows as one show more this season. And they’re literally bringing the enemy to the front door of the [Tragers'] house.

And will there be romantic tension between you and Jessi?
Oh, again, it’s hard to say without giving everything away. She definitely mixes things up a bit. There’s so much stuff I want to tell you, but I think I’m gonna get in trouble if I do. I will say there’s something new about her that you find out in every episode. And let’s just say Kyle learns to experience a whole lot of new things with love and relationships, and his feelings for people.

Any hints about what the mid-season cliffhanger will revolve around?
Well, Jessi plays a huge part in the cliffhanger. It’s all just a big mystery, and it gets insane. I was just reading the script and going, ‘Man, that’s messed up!’
